To put it simply, this episode is about one thing. If you are not a white heterosexual “Good Christian”, you have a target on your back. The new powers that be in Washington have made this clear in what they have said and what they are now doing.
We must look beyond the person in the mirror and be concerned for the rights of everyone being attacked. Fight for them. Their fight is our fight.
Putting it into focus even sharper, our transgender friends and family need to be at the top of our list when it comes to paying attention, acting and fighting. They are the scapegoats and the whipping post, the easy targets, and where most of the hate and damage is aimed. We need to protect them, love them, and bring them into our community even tighter.
